Apply to be a vendor here.
■ Juried: We’re looking for vendors who know the current decor markets and who style their booths for maximum appeal and sales. We will ask you to supply photos of your products and of your booth set up. Applicants whose products and/or booth set ups that do not fit our show may be turned down.
■ Part of Fountain Valley Summerfest: We’re an event within an event! We will be using one of the park’s soccer fields during the community’s annual Summerfest. Summerfest features a large carnival, popular stage music and bands, food booths, vendors, an annual Classic Car Show and lots of family fun. Last year’s attendance over the course of Summerfest was 30,000 people.
■ Location at Summerfest: Front and center! Our field is the first field, fronting Brookhurst Street, giving us major street visibility. The downside of that is that parking is farther back into the park. The upside is we’re still near the food booths. (We have priorities.)
■ Marketing: The promoters of the FV Vintage Market also own the community’s magazine, and they are on the Summerfest marketing committee (have been for 8 years). They will be marketing the vintage market to bring in a new set of customers, plus tapping in to the Summerfest audience as well. Marketing will be through magazine and newspaper print, social media, banners and press releases.
■ Booths: Booths are 10’x10’. Booth fee is $85. All are outdoor on lawn.
■ Tents: Bring your own (if you want to use one). All tents/canopies must be white.
■ Parking: Summerfest charges for most of its parking lots ($5-$10), so be prepared for that. Some parking is available for free. We will give you those secret locations after you’ve paid for your booth. Please talk to us if you have the need to restock from your truck/vehicle through the day.
■ What can you sell? Antiques, vintage, handcrafted (but no “crafts,” please), rustic industrial, farmhouse style, upcycled, finds, architectural salvage, barnwood, mid-century, MCM, clothing, furniture, decor, old and new (most new items should be made to look vintage, as that’s the style). Home & garden vendors being considered for a section, too. NO FOODS (Summerfest gets to sell food; we do not).
■ Customer pick-up of items: We will provide a spot where customers can drive up to pick up items.
