Robyne’s Nest fundraiser to help support high school students
Huntington Beach-based nonprofit Robyne’s Nest, whose mission is to provide resources and support to at-risk and homeless students in the Huntington Beach Union High School District, is planning a December fundraiser with a goal of raising $130,000 in 30 days.
School administrators refer students to Robyne’s Nest who are motivated to get the education needed to have a better future than their past. Support given to these students, ages 14-24, is long-term to ensure stability both emotionally and financially, Robyne’s Nest’s officials said.
Among Robyne’s Nest’s supporters are the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley and the Fountain Valley Community Foundation. The HBUHSD includes Fountain Valley High School and Valley Vista High School.
To help continue to support students within their housing program, Robyne’s Nest is making plans for its fundraiser. Monetary contributions and gift cards of $25 for gas and grocery can be dropped off at 7602 Talbert Ave, Unit F, Huntington Beach.
Contributions can also be made by going to robynesnest.org. Volunteering information can also be found on the website.
