Community interfaith Thanksgiving program planned

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fountain Valley will host a Community Thanksgiving Program, made up of three separate events.

The Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council is partnering with Faith Fest Films to present a collection of critically acclaimed short films described as a celebration of faith-based artistic expression. Films start at 2 p.m. and registration is required. For more details, go to ghbic1.org.

A soup and bread buffet is scheduled for 5-6 p.m. and will offer traditional breads associated with various faiths.

An interfaith Thanksgiving concert will be held 6-7 p.m., and will feature customary music and dance from many different faiths.

A donation of $10 per person is suggested. Register for individual events or all events at ghbic1.org. Registration will help organizers to have enough food and chairs on hand.
