City begins search for new city manager

The city has begun a search for a new city manager, following the resignation of Rob Houston, who has been hired as the new city manager of the city of Orange. The city is actively recruiting and accepting applications for the position.


Houston served as city manager for 4½ years. He was recognized by the City Council for his service to the city at the March 1 council meeting.


The executive search is being conducted by Bob Hall and Associates, which provides executive recruiting services.


Bob Hall served as the Fountain Valley city manager prior to Houston. Hall has also served as interim city manager for the cities of Laguna Niguel and Stanton. During these assignments, he conducted the recruiting search for the city manager position in both cities.
