Update from the Fountain Valley Fire Chief - March 18

"The Fire Department is in full force from an emergency response perspective. We are taking extra precautions with emergency responder personal protective equipment to include gloves, goggles, gowns and masks on all suspected COVID-19 calls.

"All non-essential activities including training, public education, non-essential programs have been shut down until further notice.

"This is a very fluid time and our action plan adjusts several times a day. As you may have seen, Shelley Brukman addressed the council last night on COVID-19. The city declared a proclamation of emergency and we will be opening up the Emergency Operations Center today."
