City’s weekly Concerts in the Park series starts July 11 at the FV Sports Park

The stage is set for this year’s Fountain Valley Live Concerts in the Park series.

This year’s lineup of Concerts in the Park will feature the sounds of Journey, Motown, The Beatles and Garth Brooks.

Concerts are set for Thursdays in July, beginning July 11, and Aug. 1.

Here’s the lineup:

July 11: LIGHTS Touring, featuring a tribute to Journey. The band gets its name from "Lights," a song recorded by Journey and written by Steve Perry and Neal Schon, released in 1978.

July 18: Stone Soul, performing classic Motown hits.

July 25: Hard Day’s Night, saluting The Beatles. The evening will also feature a special recognition of the Special Olympics California’s 50th anniversary, including a parade of champions.

Aug. 1: That Garth Guy, a tribute to Garth Brooks

Concerts are free and run from 6-8 p.m. at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst St.

The Aug. 1 concert will be held in conjunction with the annual Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.
