City forming General Plan Advisory Committee; deadline to apply is Sept. 17
City officials are assembling a General Plan Advisory Committee to provide input on the topics and issues addressed in the General Plan.
The Fountain Valley General Plan will address the following topics: land use, mobility, open space, conservation, public safety, noise, housing, community design, economic development, environmental justice, and community health and wellness.
The city invites individuals interested in participating as at-large members of the committee to submit a statement of interest for City Council consideration. The at-large members will be selected to represent one of the four geographic quadrants of the city.
The City Council is scheduled to make its selections at the Oct. 3 City Council meeting. Interested persons who are not appointed to the committee are encouraged to attend the committee’s regular meetings and provide their input during the scheduled public comment period.
