National Night Out is Aug. 7
The Fountain Valley Police Department invites residents to the annual National Night Out, this year set for Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Fountain Valley Sports Park.
This is an annual event is designed to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to help make neighborhoods safer, police officials said.
The evening will include free food, games, prizes, a K-9 demonstration and more. The event coincides with the city’s first Movie in the Park of the summer. “The Incredibles” will begin at dusk. National Night Out starts at 6 p.m.
The event also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Those who attend and dress like a character from the movie will have a chance to win a prize donated by Mimi’s Jewelry.
