Assembly candidate Haskin to hold meet and greet
Fountain Valley resident Greg Haskin will hold a “meet and greet” at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Silky Sullivan’s to announce his intent to run for the state Assembly. Haskin recently retired from PepsiCo as western regional manager for education. He is running for the soon-to-be-vacated 72nd District Assembly seat of Travis Allen.
“We need more mature, experienced conservatives in the Assembly who have worked in the private sector, understand the economy and are committed to change in Sacramento,” said Haskin on his website.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, he served as a top advisor to former U.S. Rep. Chris Cox and as executive director of the Republican Party of Orange County. Haskin holds a doctorate in public policy from USC. He has been married for 34 years to Carrie, an elementary school principal. They have two adult children.
