Fire Department open house is Saturday

The Fountain Valley Fire Department has scheduled its annual open house for Saturday at Station 1, 17737 Bushard St. This year’s open house is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include a car-cutting demonstration, face painting and a hot-dog-and-chips lunch.

Those attending can also learn how to safely use a fire extinguisher. This year’s fire prevention safety lesson is “Every Second Counts: Plan Two Ways Out.”
