Drug & Alcohol Awareness Walk-a-thon is July 29

Fountain Valley-based New Beginning Fellowship Center is staging its Drug and Alcohol Awareness Month Walk-a-thon starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at the Fountain Valley Sports Park.

New Beginning Fellowship Center, a 501(c)3 organization, offers treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction. For more than 20 years, the center has offered a full complement of recovery programs centered in a clean and sober environment.

Day of the event registration begins at 7 a.m. at the New Beginning headquarters at 16581 Brookhurst St. (across the street from the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley). The 4-mile walk begins near the Boys & Girls Club.

Entry fee is $25, or $50, which includes a T-shirt. Checks or money orders can be made out to NBFC, or Paypal to NBFC@sbcglobal.net. VISA and Master Card will be accepted.
