FV Police to carry Special Olympics torch today for Summer Games

The Fountain Valley Police Department will participate in the Special Olympics Summer Games Torch Run by carrying the torch through Fountain Valley on one leg of its journey today.

The torch will be passed from the Westminster Police Department to Fountain Valley Police officers at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Edinger Avenue at 11:54 a.m.

The Fountain Valley Police Department will carry the torch eastbound on Edinger to Brookhust, southbound on Brookhurst to Warner, westbound on Warner to Bushard, southbound on Bushard to Talbert, and westbound on Talbert to Beach. Fountain Valley Police will pass the torch to the Huntington Beach Police Department at Talbert and Beach Boulevard.

The torch will then continue on its way to Cal State Long Beach where the Special Olympics Summer Games will be held Saturday and Sunday.
