Drug Take Back Day is April 29

The Fountain Valley Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will hold another drug Take Back Day, giving residents the opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous, expired or unused drugs.

The event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at the Fountain Valley Police Station, 10200 Slater Ave. The service is anonymous with no questions asked.

Last October, Americans turned in 366 tons of prescription drugs at almost 5,200 sites operated by the DEA and more than 4,000 of its state and local law enforcement partners. Overall, in its 12 previous Take Back events, DEA and its partners have taken in over 7.1 million pounds - more than 3,500 tons - of pills.
