City Council candidates forum is Sept. 15
Residents will have an opportunity to hear from the four candidates running for Fountain Valley City Council at a Candidates Forum set for Sept. 15 and sponsored by the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The forum will be held in the city council chambers and is set for 6-8:30 p.m. It will be taped by the Public Cable Television Authority to be shown at later dates prior to the election.
Incumbents Steve Nagel and Cheryl Brothers are running for re-election along with challengers Kim Constantine and Patrick Tucker.
This is an opportunity for registered voters to find out how knowledgeable candidates are about city issues.
This is also an important opportunity for the business community and public to get to know the people who feel they are qualified to make decisions that will impact the city and local businesses now and for years to come.
The forum is open to the public and all candidates vying for the two open council positions are asked to participate.
Each participating candidate will be allowed a two-minute opening statement and one-minute closing statement and will also field questions from the chamber, and from the community if time allows.
