FV Regional Hospital cereal drive is June 3-10

Recognizing that one in five children in the U.S. struggles with hunger, Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center is participating in the Tenet Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive June 3-10.

Hospital officials -- noting that during the summer children can’t rely on their schools for nutritious meals -- invite residents to participate in the drive, benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

There are two ways to donate:

· Drop off healthy cereal donations at the hospital campus at 11160 Warner Ave., Suite 109, Fountain Valley.

· Make an online donation at http://vad.techbridge.org/vadxml.cfm?driveid=40283 that will be used to purchase food, such as milk, fruit and lean protein, needed to complete a healthy breakfast. Fountain Valley Regional Hospital’s parent company, Tenet Healthcare, will match all financial donations made during the campaign, up to $100,000.
