AYSO Region 5 early registration to begin

Early registration for 2016 Fountain Valley Region 5 American Youth Soccer Organization will be held from March 25 to June 15.

The league is for boys and girls, ages 4-18. Cost is $115 per player. The third child or more from the same family can register for free.

Interested parents can also opt to make a $30 fundraiser buyout. Cost of registration after June 15 is $175, and no discounts or buyouts will be available.

A new AYSO program for 3- to 4-year-olds will be offered this year. Fountain Valley AYSO has partnered with Playtime Adventure through the UK Soccer Program, which is run by coaches from the UK.

Also, tryouts for the more competitive EXTRA level are set for April 14 and 26 at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center, and times are posted at www.ayso5.org.

All fees include uniform, pictures and insurance. Players must be 4 years old by Sept. 10, 2016

Practices can start Aug. 1, and opening day and games are planned for Sept. 10.
