Elwyn Bowlathon set for April 9

The 18th annual Elwyn California Bowlathon is set for Saturday, April 9 at Fountain Bowl.

This year’s bowlathon will have a Great Gatsby theme and will include a fun night of bowling, food and opportunities to win drawing and silent auction prizes.

The event benefits Fountain Valley-based Elwyn California, which provides work and services to people with disabilities.

The basic cost to bowl is $325 for a standard team of four and $400 for a corporate team. Additional sponsorship opportunities ranging from $200 to $2,000 are also available. Individuals and businesses can participate by donating an auction prize, bringing several bowling teams or sponsoring or underwriting a part of the event.

Bowlers will be treated to appetizers as well as dinner that includes Sloppy Joes, salad, chips, drinks and a sweet treat.

A drawing will also be held with a a 55-inch Vizio Smart TV as top prize and a $500 Apple gift card as second prize. Tickets are $5 apiece or $20 for a book of five tickets.
