Decision on digital sign delayed
The Fountain Valley City Council’s decision on a digital sign to be erected by Clear Channel Outdoor along the 405 freeway was again delayed, this time at the request John Duong, Clear Channel Outdoor's Southern California division vice president of real estate and public affairs. In his letter to the Council Duong did not give a reason for the company's request for more time.
The controversial sign would generate revenues for the city, and has been opposed by residents of Costa Mesa, who say that the sign would shine too brightly into their home, across the freeway from the site of the proposed sign. The item will be rescheduled for a future City Council meeting.
