Three arrested in commercial burglary attempt
Fountain Valley Police on Tuesday arrested three people in connection with an attempted commercial burglary Tuesday.
Police Lt. Matt Sheppard said police responded to a commercial location in the 17000 block of Newhope Street and encountered a subject who had drywall and insulation debris on his clothing. Further investigation revealed the subject entered an unlocked vacant unit and used a pry bar to tunnel through the drywall into another business. No loss was reported from the business.
Suspect David Arnold was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and possession of burglary tools. While conducting a further search of the area police officers located two additional suspects hiding in a vehicle.
The investigation confirmed that all three suspects were acquaintances and had arrived at the location together, Sheppard said. Thomas Boone and Renee Alvarez were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy.
