FVHS student Paige Taylor wins ‘Voice’ competition

Junior Paige Taylor took the top prize at the first "The Voice" competition at Fountain Valley High School Saturday night.
More than 80 singers auditioned for the competition, which was held in the Dr. Paul Berger gym.
“The Voice” was the brainchild of vocal music director Kevin Tison and it attracted an overflow crowd of students, teachers and parents.
The competition started with 25 singers and was held over three rounds, with the list narrowed to the top 10 and then to three finalists.
Senior Roxanne Watson finished second, and junior Ariana Isbell was third.
