Fountain Valley Regional Hospital becomes Special Olympics Gold Sponsor

Fountain Valley Regional Hospital became an official Gold Medal sponsor of the city’s Special Olympics Host Town program today.

Fountain Valley Regional Hospital CEO Joe Badalian presented a check for $5,000 to Host Town Committee honorary chairman Ed Arnold as committee members and hospital officials looked on.

Fountain Valley is an official Host Town for the upcoming 2015 Special Olympics World Games to be held next summer in Los Angeles. That competition will feature 10,000 athletes and coaches from 177 nations. ESPN will provide television coverage of the Games.

Fountain Valley will host a delegation of Special Olympics athletes and their coaches for three days next summer, providing meals and accommodations, athletic training venues and local cultural activities for the athletes.
