Fire Department plans drive-thru open house Oct. 10
The Fountain Valley Fire Department will hold its annual open house from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 10. But because of the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be held in a drive-thru format at the Fountain Valley Sports Park. Residents are asked to drive into the park at the Brookhurst and Heil entrance and follow the signs. As you drive along to the open house area, you will pass various fire vehicles, and fire personnel will be handing out goodie bags while supplies
City Recreation & Parks honored for its summer ‘Fun at Home’ series
The Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services Department has received the Five Snaps Award from California Parks and Recreation Society District 10 for its creative approach towrd engaging the community in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The department presented “FV Fun at Home,” an eight-week-long summer series that brought parks and recreation opportunities to residents. FV drive-in movie night is Oct. 24
The Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services Department and the Fountain Valley Community Foundation will present a drive-in movie night on Oct. 24. "Hotel Transylvania" will be shown at 6:30 p.m., followed by "Hocus Pocus" at 9:15 p.m. The drive-in movie event will be held at the Fountain Valley Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst St. Registration to attend the movies began Sept. 24 for residents and Sept. 28 for non-residents.
