Senior Expo set for June 21
The 13th annual Senior Expo is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 21 at the Center at Founders Village Senior and Community Center. The event features, vendors, health screenings, giveaways and a light lunch. More than 600 seniors are expected to attend the expo. The event is free. Scouts to host flag retirement ceremony
Fountain Valley Boy Scout Troop 567 and Cub Scout Troop 567 will hold a flag retirement ceremony at 7 p.m. June 14 at The Fount Church. Residents who are interested can bring a flag to the church the day of the event to be retired or recycled by the Scouts. Great Campout registration begins May 23
Registration will begin soon for one of Fountain Valley’s most popular family events. The Great Fountain Valley Campout will be held Aug. 4-5 at the Fountain Valley Sports Park. Online registration will begin May 23 starting at 1 p.m. Or you can register in person at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center, 16400 Brookhurst St., starting at 8 a.m., May 26. Fountain Bowl is selling Summerfest ride wristbands at a discounted price, and those who purchase their wristbands there will receive a free game of bowling valid at Fountain Bowl. FVPD enforcing national seatbelt campaign
The Fountain Valley Police Department is reminding motorists to “Click It or Ticket.” The national seatbelt campaign begins Monday, May 21, and concludes June 3.
