Registration is under way for the 11th annual Fountain Valley Triathlon/5K Run, which will be held on Saturday, May 27. As in previous years, this is a family event featuring a fun Adult Triathlon course, a 5K Run and four categories of kids' triathlons. All proceeds go to support Boy Scout Troop 297 and youth summer camps. To register, go to fvtriathlon.com. The website will provide information on all routes for all races.

The Fountain Valley Market in the Park and Food Truck Frenzy run every Thursday through July 27 at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center, including June 22 during Summerfest, and during all the July Concerts in the Park. The Fountain Valley Sports Park playground will be closed for approximately a week beginning today (Tuesday, May 9). Temporary fencing will be installed to prevent access to the playground while the rubber topcoat of the playground surface is replaced.
The 12th annual Senior Expo will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at The Center at Founders Village Senior and Community Center. The popular expo, set for 9:30 a.m. to noon, offers an opportunity for new and established businesses to promote and educate those attending.
